Why create a vision board

I thought in this blog post I would talk about ‘why create a vision board’ inspired by me reading Law of Attraction Pointers.

I don’t know if any of you have read about the law of attraction and what you can do to attract the things you want.

The one thing that piqued my interest was creating a vision board. It’s a do it yourself project, it doesn’t need much stuff and I could let my imagination run riot!

I’m all about creating my own stuff so I thought I would give it a go. I decided to do a board about the type of house I want and how it would look on the inside.

How do you make a vision board

You can use whatever you have on hand, like a cork board or an old picture frame or poster board. I bought some poster board from Amazon. It doesn’t have to be a large piece, in fact it might be easier to display smaller boards in your home.

You will need:

glue or pins

magazines or photographs

Why Create a vision board

If you’ve been goal setting or trying to picture in your mind the home or life you want, then it helps to create a visual representation of what you want by putting it on your dream board.

You can even use your vision board to build up the perfect partner, if you’re looking for your true love.

It doesn’t take long to make you vision board once you have the materials that you need.

The biggest part is the prep work. You want to do an image search on the internet or in your magazines to find pictures that represent your dream.

It might not just be a picture but inspirational words that make you feel good or promote a positive mindset.

You need to sort out your pictures and decide what’s going on the board.

If you can’t find what you want, you can write out your own motivational words or quotes.

My favorite part is taking all my pictures and arranging them on the board. This is where you forget about the outside world and what other people would do. Use your own inspiration to arrange it in a way that pleases you.

You’re not limited by what you want to put on it.  You can keep it tidily arranged or have it random.

Once you have your board ready you need to display it in a position where you will see it often, like your home office or in your kitchen.

This allows what you want to drip feed into your subconscious mind so you’re attracting the things that you want.

Whether you believe it or not, making a vision board is fun and it helps you to get your ideas into view and you can tweak them till your hearts content.
